Skydance Paramount Will Eliminate Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Report

Paramount Skydance will start significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 US jobs within a cost-cutting plan totaling $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts come after the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August worth $8.4bn.

Further overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, with the company aiming to disclose all specifics during its Q3 financial results on 10 November.

Prior news had indicated the firm was looking to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 positions by early November.

By December 2024, the company retained about 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 project-based staff.

The organization did not immediately respond on the matter.
